About "Help "

My slant would be this: we want to explore current and potential uses
of advanced technology, with two special foci: things being done
elsewhere that we should be doing (but aren't), and things that will
help maintain MIT's educational-leadership position (which means,
among other things, things that we might do in advance of everyone
else). I'd avoid lists of technologies, and be clear about the
tactical/strategic duality of our work (we don't succeed unless we
find things we can do soon, but we also don't succeed if that's all we do).
