Chuck, the EVAT (Education Via Advanced Technologies) committee has
(finally) come to agreement on our report. It is in the form of
a hypertext document with lots of pointers to things on the World
Wide Web. It currently resides in final draft form at a secret
location whose URL is http://eddie.mit.edu/cevat/report/

Let me suggest the following course of action. Why don't you
consider this message as the "delivery" of the report. Since
you called for the report, only you should authorize its further
distribution. If you agree (as I expect you will) to its being
made available, possibly after some modifications that you think
appropriate, then we will move it to a more public location and
publicize its existence and its new URL.

About the draft: Note that each page has a short section at the
top indicating that it is a draft, and with pointers to earlier
drafts. These sections will, of course, be removed. Also, there
are several yellow tags that say "NEW" that mark changes from
the previous draft. These will also be removed. Finally, notice
that there is a place for an audio greetings from you in the
foreword. That link does not work yet. To make it work we need
to come over with a tape recorder, and you have to decide what
you want to say. I would suggest that it not exceed a minute,
and it would be even better if it was shorter. Or, if you wish,
we can eliminate this greetings and the accompanying photograph.
Your choice. (Incidently, the photo there now is B&W; we have
a color photo but have not yet scanned it in.)

I look forward to hearing from you. The committee apologizes
for taking so long in producing the report, but there is a
considerable level of enthusiasm about the report itself.
...../Paul
