As they say on the loading dock, "Ship it!"
Just a note to all of us. At times this has been a frustrating
experience, I'm sure especially for Paul who has had the nearly
impossible task of merging many disparate points of view. But our
committee represented many important corners of MIT, and we each had our
say. We represented our constituencies. Probably none of us is totally
satisfied that all of our pet points are adequately included.
But the totality is impressive. I believe that if we could each read
the report (or should I say experience the media?) pretending as if we
had never seen it, I think we would agree that it's come a long way.
Paul: Thank you for listening to all our suggestions and for working
this through to an impressive conclusion! With its concrete and
substantial recommendations, the report should have a significant impact
on the future of our MIT.
For me, it's been a pleasure working with you all. Now if only
sabbatical could continue for a bit longer!
